REINFORCE is organising a dedicated course for senior citizens to bring them closer to critical aspects of physics and science. The course is staggered across 10 different lessons, each tackling a different core subject. These subjects span from gravitational waves, to cosmology, relativity and the tight connection between art and science.

This report provides background information on the Mutual Learning Exercise on Citizen Science. It is written with a science policy audience in mind and provides an introduction and details of the modus operandi for the MLE.

Open Science Fair 2021 aims to bring together and empower open science communities and services; to identify common practices related to open science; to see what are the best synergies to deliver and operate services that work for many; and to bring experiences from all around the world and learn from each other. REINFORCE will join the event with a dedicated workshop "Citizen Science - open science challenges and opportunities for collaboration" on the 22nd of September, 16.30 (CEST).

The recent technology advancements have significantly contributed to facilitating access to information to individuals, increasing the opportunities they have to participate in both policy and scientific research.

On the 6th of October, the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics awarded with Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez for their work to understand black holes.
