Genoa Science Festival

On Sunday, the 30th of October, 2022, in the context of the Genoa Festival of Science, which ran from the 20th of October to the 1st of November, 2022, EGO organised Il suono dell’Universo (‘The sound of the Universe’). The event involved a dialogue on what it means to 'listen' to the Cosmos between Wanda Diaz-Merced, EGO researcher and internationally renowned expert in the sonification of astronomical data, and Stavros Katsanevas, the REINFORCE Project Coordinator.

he discussion was accompanied by the music of sound designer Massimo Magrini, who translated into artistic sounds the astronomical data collected by EGO- VIRGO scientists.
