Athens Science Festival

From the 22nd to the 23th of October, REINFORCE took part in the Athens Science Festival, at which over 600 children, students and people of all ages discovered Virgo and the science of gravitational waves through many interactive activities organized by REINFORCE partner EA.

EGO contributed to the set-up of a room dedicated to gravitational waves, with an art and science installation developed by the Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) and a model interferometer. Visitors also found many workstations on which they could experiment with the GWitchHunters demonstrator and help scientists to classify glitches in Virgo data.
